Project 07

Interior Design
Full flat transformation
Sofia, Bulgaria

The clients, a family with a teenage son, wanted to optimize their small 50m² one-bedroom apartment in a high-rise residential building. The goal was to make the space more functional, integrating part of the balcony into the main living area while ensuring each family member had their own defined space.

The redesign extended half of the balcony into the living-dining area, creating an additional sleeping space for the parents. Clever built-in storage solutions were incorporated to maintain an open and clutter-free environment. The hallway was reconfigured to include a laundry and storage area, maximizing every available square meter.

The teenage son’s bedroom remained untouched to provide him with a dedicated private space. The bathroom was fully refurbished with a modern and efficient layout. The remaining portion of the balcony was converted into a compact outdoor cooking and seating area, allowing the family to enjoy the city skyline and mountain views.

Outcome

This transformation successfully balanced function and aesthetics, ensuring the small home met the family’s needs without feeling overcrowded.
